AREA STUDY CENTER FOR MIDDLE EAST & ARAB COUNTRIES 

CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

The Area Study Centre for Middle East & Arab Countries, established by the Federal Government at the University of Balochistan Quetta as a multidisciplinary higher education research institute, seeks the academic services of the candidates fulfilling the criteria for the Post of Director:-

Name of Post:     DIRECTOR Area Study Centre University of Balochistan, Quetta
Scale:    BPS-20/21
Upper Age Limit:  55 years (relaxable maximum by 2 years on the recommendation of the concerned Selection Board).
Qualification/ Criteria:  
a) Ph.D. in relevant field from a H EC-recognized university/institute.
b) In the first instance, those candidates will be considered who meet Higher Education Commission criteria for the Post of Professor (BPS-21) and the candidate selected among them will be appointment as Director BPS-21.
c) In case no candidate is found eligible/suitable for BPS-21, then those candidates will be considered who meet Higher Education Commission criteria for the Post of Associate Professor (BPS-20) and the candidate selected among them will be appointed as Director BPS-20.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Candidates from all over Pakistan are eligible to apply. • The appointment would be made for the tenure of four years. If the selected candidate does not belong to the Centre concerned, the appointment would be made either on deputation or on contract basis. • Interested individuals who meet the criteria can obtain Application Form from the website of University of Balochistan www.uob.edu.pk/emloymentform.pdf. • The application processing fee is Rs.3000/= ( non-refundable) in shape of Bank Demand Draft (HBL Bank University Branch, Quetta) in favor of the Director, Ai ea Study Centre, University of Balochistan. Quetta for each application form or can be deposited via bank challan of the Area Study Centre, available at www.uob.edu.pk/Aree/020STUDrY020CENTER/index.htm  • All candidates are required to submit two sets of applications in shape of dossier along with C.V, details of research publications in HEC-recognized Journals in relevant field, 4 photographs, attested copies of academic degrees and other credentials. • Experience Certificate as per C.V must be attached with the application form. • Applicants already in service should apply through proper channel along with NOC issued by the competent authority of their parent department otherwise application will not be accepted. • Incomplete applications not fulfilling the required criteria or without processing fee and applications received after the due date would not be accepted in any case. Selection Board for interviews will be held in University of Balochistan, Quetta. No T.AJ D.A is admissible. • Canvassing in any manner or form will disqualify the candidate. • The competent authority of the Centre/University reserves the right of canceling the said position without any reason. • The last date for the submission of application form is 03' August 2018.
